Short Summary
The project aims at strengthening the economy of Viet Nam by supporting the development of technology business incubators (TBIs) and activating entrepreneurial competency. A parallel project runs currently in Thailand.
Major task of TBIs is to support business start-ups as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) planning the commercialisation of new technologies.
The “German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development” (BMZ) promotes the project which is realised by the project partners: InWEnt and MOST, with support of EXPERPLAN.
The project runs from January 2005 until March 2006.
Main objective of the project is to build capacity of TBI teams through a capacity building programme consisting mainly of trainings and coaching in two major fields:
- How to manage a TBI
- How to provide business incubation related services
Three pilot TBIs are intended to be the nucleus for the development of further TBIs in Viet Nam in order to guarantee sustainability of the business incubation process.
The project has so-called central and decentral events. All central events are open to people interested in setting up a TBI. Only the decentral events will be limited to the members from the pilot TBI teams. |
